Maconaquah receives a Residency grant from the Indiana Commission on Higher Education (ICHE) partners with IUK, who is the educator preparation program partner. There are many benefits to be had by participating the in the program that include:

• Students going into education with the opportunity to complete a year long residency at Maconaquah instead of the traditional semester-long student teaching.
• Regardless of the grade of teaching the student will get to see an entire school year from start to finish and receive that additional semester of experience before entering the workforce as an educator.
• Students will also receive a stipend during their student teaching time at Maconaquah through the Residency Program.
