VISITOR MANAGEMENT

Attention Visitors to all Maconaquah Schools:

All visitors must report immediately to the main office and request a visitor’s permit. However, no person shall remain in the school building or on the grounds after being asked to leave by any member of the administration, faculty, or maintenance staff. Students are not to have other students come visit with them at school during school hours. Student visitors will not be permitted.

Upon entering a district building, visitors will be asked to present an ID such as a Driver’s License, which can either be scanned or manually entered into the system.  If a parent or guardian for any reason does not have a US government-issued ID, the school staff member can use any form of identification and manually enter the person’s name into the system. The system checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders.  The registered sex offender database is the only official database checked by the system. Once entry is approved, the system will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit. A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit our schools simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork.  Maconaquah School staff reserves the right to deny anyone entry to the building.

THE RAPTOR DIFFERENCE

PENCIL & PAPER

  • FALSE PROTECTION

Pencil and paper sign-in sheets offer a false sense of protection and aren’t a solution to keep our schools safe.

  • NO SCREENING

Manual screening of every visitor is not practical, so most schools end up screening no one entering the premises.

  • NO DATABASE CHECKS

Checking for red flags like custody issues relies on the memory of the administrative staff of the school or inefficient paper records.

  • UNRELIABLE RECORDS

Handwritten sign-in sheets are often incomplete or illegible, which renders a school’s visitor records unreliable.

  • LABORIOUS REPORTING

In order to generate a visitor report, each sign-in sheet would have to be manually rekeyed, which is both time-consuming and inaccurate.

THE RAPTOR VISITOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

  • TRUSTED PROTECTION

The Raptor System is trusted by more K-12 schools to protect their students, faculty, and staff than every other system combined.
